Where to eat nearby
- Cap de Cavalleria lighthouse bar — Drinks with a view at the lighthouse, a short drive north
Restaurants, menus and opening hours change from season to season; many close in winter. Check before you go and book in summer.
Good to know
- Very exposed to the Tramuntana north wind and can be dangerous then: check the forecast.
- People like to coat themselves in the clay from the cliffs, but this erodes them and makes them unstable.
Worth combining
- Cap de Cavalleria lighthouse (1857) on Menorca’s highest cliffs, with an interpretation centre in season.
- Ecomuseu de Cap de Cavalleria and the Roman port of Sanitja, with excavations of Sanisera and a British-era defence tower.

Wind & shelter
The catalogue records this beach as opening towards N. Wind coming from that direction can drive waves towards the shore; wind from the opposite direction may give more shelter near the sand. Headlands, terrain and offshore swell can change the result.
North-facing beaches such as Cavalleria can be exposed during Tramuntana. Compare south-coast alternatives and the actual wind and waves before travelling.
